East Killingly Fire Department is a volunteer fire department in Northeastern CT that responds to fires, medical calls & service calls. EKFD's equipment includes two engine tanks, a service truck, a rescue boat, and a light rescue . In 2007 we responded to 140 911 emergency calls .

July 2, 2008: EKFD responded to a reported 2 Car MVA at the intersection of  Rte 101 and Petingill road. First arriving officer requested additional resources which included mutual aid from Dayville FD, a total of five ambulances, and two AMR paramedic units. A total of 6 patients were transported...one patient was presumed dead on scene. Transport ambulances included  K-B Ambulance, Foster Rescue 4, and Putnam Ambulance.
On August 15 2008: East Killingly Fire Department responded to a no injury accident at the intersections of Hartford Pike and Chestnut Hill road. The vehicles Two tractor tailor trucks and a pickup truck were involved in the collision. Hartford Pike was shut down for a short time while State police did their investigation.
On September, 9 2008: East Killingly Fire responded to reported one car rollover at the intersections of Hartford Pike and Pine Knolls Drive.
